A 4.5km trek today to the top of Mont Elephant on the other side of Lac Superieur. Made so much easier by the Kreimeias joining us and the children playing an imaginary game all the way up and down! It took 2 1/2 hrs but felt like less. So beautiful.

Inuksuk stone sculptures 

You see these everywhere here in Quebec. They are traditional stone markers made by the native Inuit people so we thought we'd make our own!

This is a Harrier hawk promoting the  birds of prey show I saw last year. 

They hunt by flying low over open ground and swooping low to grab small mammals or birds. By Sophia

After meeting some of our lovely Oxshott friends on the way to Heathrow, we finally flew to Montreal to start our journey yesterday. 

(Think Chedge needs to work on his selfies!) 

The flight was uneventful and actually enjoyable until we landed and Jake threw up! Fortuna...

Spent a lovely (if a bit blustery!) day digging and walking along sandbanks beach with cousin Philip, Louise, James and Charlotte followed by a get-together at Grandmas. We will look forward to seeing them on the farm in December for lambing season!
